I'm a developer at Codebased, a company that develops and supports custom software applications. I'm based just outside Stafford and work fully remotely.

Before starting my dev career in April 2022, I spent nearly a decade in marketing and comms and even co-founded a business. All experience that's been incredibly valuable to me in my new journey.

Outside of programming, I might be found working on personal projects, helping my wife run her business, gaming, weightlifting, reading, walking and/or playing with our spoilt Labradoodle, and trying to think of things to put in this list.

The HeywoodsI'm the tall one. Maggie is the short, furry one. Shell is the pretty one.

Waggy's Dog GroomingMy very talented wife, Shell, has run her own pet-services business since 2020. I put together a small website for her as part of a 2024 rebrand using Next.js, Tailwind CSS and integrations with Mailgun and Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam form submissions.
Palette GeneratorThe product of a lazy Sunday and a warm fire. I wanted to create a simple tool that integrated an API, however basic, and PaletteGenerator is the result. Again, built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS. It uses the ColorMind API for suggestions.
A Player a DayI thought a daily football player guessing game would be fun and my friends agreed. In a shock to nobody, I also used Next.js for this but also stretched my wings with a Supabase integration for the database. All of the clues were generated using Chat GPT and some painstakingly honed prompts.
